Nehemiah 8:1-12
On the 4th Sunday of Advent, we study the power of Joy. We begin by exploring Nehemiah’s account of a time when the Jews had returned from captivity to their nation. As they struggled with feelings of discouragement, they were exhorted to rejoice in God. As we face difficult times, we too should draw upon the joy that comes from God, and was exemplified at the birth of Jesus, the Messiah.
