As we continue to consider the subject of Fasting, we see in Isaiah 58 that it’s more than just a time to grow in holiness and maturity. A natural result of spiritual growth is the desire for justice and mercy for the poor. God calls us to have compassion on the physical needs of others, as well as the spiritual needs.
